Epic Moving House Checklist

Here are the most important things to do when moving:
- Schedule mail to be forwarded to the new address
- Get boxes and moving supplies
- Get the right moving company
- Transfer or set up your local phone, internet and cable company
- Transfer your hydro account
- Sort things that you want to donate
- Change your address on all official documents
- Notify all relevant companies about cancelling, or transferring your membership, account, or contract to your new address
- For finishing the contract, wrap up any loose ends in your respective contracts, and ensure that all that's required of you is fulfilled before you move 
If you are the owner of the house being sold, have those documents in your possession before selling:
- Title and the deed
- Relevant surveys
- Tax receipts
- renovation contracts
- City permits 
- Transfer warranties
If you are renting, note those points:
- Rental period you are committed
- Read through your rental contract
- Give proper notice based on your contract to your landlord
